Need a Quick Fix for that Swimsuit? Down 19 Pounds in Just 15 days!

The Lemonade Diet

Never, ever in a million years would I condone a quick fix diet BUT desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. Sometimes you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, and when your back is against the wall, you have to come out swinging.

In my case, I was about a month away from a beautiful, vacation in the Bahamas and knew that I had a two piece swim suit in my suitcase with my name on it. I didn’t have time to change my eating habits or workout like I knew I needed to, in order to, get the results that I wanted. It was just the luck of the draw that my father would soon be starting what I now know as the lemonade diet; in which he had encouraged me to partake in as well. This diet was just what I thought that I needed; it was an inexpensive, quick fix that had come right on time.

Now hindsight is 20/20, and I would never repeat this for any purpose other than to detox, but it worked for the time that I needed it to; which is why I decided to share my quick fix with you. However, please know that this is not a diet you’d want to take on long-term.

The Lemonade Diet

Only the strong will survive.

 

YOU WILL NEED:

 

½ lemon (do not store in the fridge, you need all of the enzymes you can get!)
 You can also use lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1-2 tablespoons of grade B maple syrup
 if you are simply doing this to get rid of extra weight 1 tablespoon is recommended
8 oz of water (Alkaline or Purified)

 

 All of the above-mentioned items should be Organic for best results!

 

You will also need:

UNIODIZED Sea Salt or Epson Salt
Herbal Laxative Tea
1 Tablespoon measure
1/10 Teaspoon measure
Apples
Oranges
Chicken Broth
Vegetable Soup

 

*** A Juicer is needed (Hand or Electric)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

SERVING SIZE: 1

1. Squeeze/juice lemons and place two tablespoons of lemon juice into a cup or bottle.
2. Mix in the following: grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water.
3. Drink immediately. Do not allow your lemonade to sit too long after being made; this will cut down on the cayenne pepper seeping into the mixture and being too spicy.

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

SALT WATER FLUSH

Mix 2 to 3 teaspoons of sea salt or Epson salt in 8 oz of lukewarm water. Drink immediately. This needs to be the first thing you consume in the mornings; therefore, it should be consumed on an empty stomach!

 

LEMONADE MIXTURE

All of the vitamins and minerals you will need can be found in your lemonade mixture; so drink as much of it as you would like. However, keep in mind that the minimum consumption per day is eight to ten (8oz) glasses.

 

HERBAL LAXATIVE

Please note if you are following the diet as you should be the herbal laxative tea should only be consumed at night before bedtime. This laxative will help with the elimination of waste!

Now I know that you are reading this and thinking to yourselves, well I haven’t read anything about what foods I can eat while on this diet. So to answer the questions that you so desperately want to ask, continue reading.

 

1. CAN I EAT ANYTHING WHILE ON THIS DIET?

• The above-mentioned items will be the ONLY things you will consume for a total of 10 days. I mean let’s face it; it’s called the Lemonade Diet for a reason.

2. DOES THIS REALLY WORK?

• ABSOLUTELY! However, this is not a long-term diet! Even the greatest have only lasted 40 days. Not only that, but this diet is not recommended past 40 days (and even that is contingent on your health and physical wellbeing).

3. WILL I GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK?

• Again this is just a quick fix. Therefore you can use it as such, or you can capitalize on the help this diet will provide in order to catapult you into a healthier lifestyle. Otherwise, you can expect to gain the weight right back!

Once you have successfully completed TEN days of the lemonade diet you can start reintroducing things back into your diet a little at a time. I recommend you stick to the following regimen until your stools return to normal.

 

NOTE: During the cleansing period, your stools will become water like and lack color. No worries this is entirely normal.

Day Eleven:

Start you morning with a freshly juiced cup of apple juice (4 to 6 oz). You should consume a minimum of 8 glasses and as much water as you can stand. Take your time; you have all day!

Day Twelve:

Your day should start with you consuming an 8oz glass of fresh orange and a glass of water. You can consume up to 64 oz of orange juice and apple juice (four 8 oz glasses of each) and plenty of water.

Day Thirteen:

You can start your morning with either fresh apple or orange juice. You still want to make sure that you are getting in adequate amounts of water during the day as well. For dinner, you can introduce a vegetable soup into your diet. Be sure that the broth has soft, leafy vegetables; (Spinach, celery, carrots, beans, etc. are okay-cooked of course)! Consume mostly broth and tiny amounts of vegetables.

Day Fourteen:

You may choose from either fresh orange or apple juice to start your morning; around lunchtime, you may have vegetable soup. Eating the vegetables should be okay to do at this point in your journey. Your body still isn’t ready for meats, bread or sweets just yet. For dinner, have another bowl of soup. Make sure you are still drinking water throughout the day.

Day Fifteen:

Start your morning with a lemon and maple syrup for breakfast and a glass of water. Lunch should consist of fruits and vegetables. For dinner, you may have a salad and a small bowl of fruit.

Day Sixteen:

As long as you’ve had a normal stool, you should be able to go back to eating normally at this point. But be careful of what you put back into your body. You want to stay away from greasy foods, junk foods, sodas, etc. Otherwise, all of your efforts will be in vain.

 

You should be down a few pounds, and I encourage you to continue this journey by learning how to keep the weight off effectively.
