Fitness is not only about rushing through your workouts and exercising to reach your goals. It’s more mental than anything. Obtaining your fitness goals has a lot to do with trusting your journey and believing in yourself. Trusting the process plays a significant role in enhancing your efforts. Doing an extra set or making two more repetitions, here and there, just for getting faster results will not cut it. You must have patience and be persistent in your efforts. Taking joy in your fitness journey makes it more fun and makes it easy to achieve the long-term goals.

● Make a habit of trusting yourself and continue working hard
Don’t worry about the outcome and only focus on what you do. Whether you run, go to the gym or practice Zumba, take it easy and enjoy your sessions. Choose a workout plan that you really enjoy doing. The Trusting the Process method does not work if you simply sit back and relax. It’s a must that you put in the work and grind hard to get results.
● Follow your schedule with a process-oriented approach
Make a plan if you do not have one and follow it regularly. Do not convince yourself into thinking that letting go of one day is okay. There will be times of sickness and stressful circumstances where your routine will be hindered. Therefore, stick to a healthy schedule and maintain consistency as long as you can.
● You build patience and persistence along the way
When you follow the process on a daily basis and remain determined, your patience will naturally increase. I know that this is hard for a lot of people, but it is important to develop a habit of listening to the needs of your body. When your body needs rest, give it rest instead of straining yourself. This will give your muscles the time they need to heal and grow. If you feel that you cannot do another set, then take a break and try again tomorrow! Give yourself credit for every any worthwhile pursuit you engage in; even in the smallest of things. Everyone likes to be recognized!
● You allow yourself to learn from the past mistakes
Smartly train yourself by being more aware of your body. With the advancement in technology, you can record every aspect of your session. Therefore, it should be easy to track your trials and triumphs. This makes it easier for you to track when you are at your best vs. when you’re at your worst; as well as what works best for you and when!
When you establish trust in your fitness program, your patience and confidence will rise gradually. Therefore, if you build good, healthy habits, the outcome of your journey will take care of itself!
