Beef and Broccoli Over Brown Rice

Key Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Frozen Broccoli Florets
  • 1 cup of Beef Broth
  • 8 oz Beef Sirloin Tip
  • 3 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 cups Brown Rice
  • 3 teaspoons of Cornstarch
  • Olive Oil Cooking Spray

Healthy Dinners in 40 Minutes or Less

 

Optional Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon of Ground Ginger
  • Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Garlic Powder
  • Minced Garlic
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper

This recipe is so easy to follow you may even find yourself skipping ahead on the steps!

 

  1. Using the sea salt, pepper and garlic powder, season the meat to taste.
  2. Turn the stove on to medium heat.
  3. Coat your pan with Olive Oil Spray.
  4. Place the beef into the pan and cook until brown, using the Turner Head to stir and turn the meat occasionally.
  5. Remove beef from skillet and place on a plate to keep warm.
  6. Place broccoli and finely chopped onions into the skillet with half a cup of beef broth. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes max, stir occasionally.
  7. Mix the remaining half a cup of beef broth, cornstarch, ground ginger and brown sugar in a small bowl until smooth.
  8. Once broccoli and onions are finished cooking, add the cornstarch mixture from step 7 into the pan with it.
  9. Cook until the mixture starts to thicken.
  10. Return the beef into the skillet, mix together, and serve over brown rice drizzled with soy sauce.
