Pancakes without the Pounds: How to Make Protein Pancakes

For the most part, we all want the luxury of being able to eat whatever we want while looking good at the same time. Unfortunately, that’s hardly ever the case. Sometimes giving up the things you love when trying to clean up your eating habits can be a real drag. It seems like all of the things you like are either “not on your new meal plan” or are “bad for you!” If you’ve found yourself feeling like this before, then this protein pancakes recipe is perfect for you! This recipe gives you the best of both worlds. You get to eat something you love without looking like what you’ve eaten once you’re finished. That’s a win, win situation!

Serving Size: 3 to 5 pancakes

 

UTENSILS:

•    Skillet
•    Spatula
•    Mixing bowl
•    Spoon

 

INGREDIENTS:

•    4 Scoops of Herbalife Formula 1 Shake (any flavor; Pumpkin Spice is my fav for pancakes)
•    3 scoops of Herbalife Vanilla Protein
•    1 ½  cups of water or Almond Milk
•    Coconut Oil
•    1 egg

 

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

•    Sugar-free syrup
•    Strawberries
•    Blueberries
•    Raspberries
•    Bananas
•    Almond halves

DIRECTIONS:

1.    Preheat stove on medium heat.
2.    Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth and free of lumps
3.    Add water or almond milk as needed for thinning the mixture.
4.    Place skillet over heat and lightly coat with Coconut oil.
5.    Pour mixture into skillet; creating a medium sized circle.
6.    Let cook for thirty seconds to 1 minute on both sides; making sure that the pancake is cooked all the way through.
8.    Top with your favorite fruit and sugar-free syrup.
9.    Serve and eat!
